MEET OUT PANELISTS
Sarah Thompson (née Sims), Chief Product Officer at BlueStar Case Solutions, Inc., and Founder of Siemly, LLC, is a leading authority in legal technology with a focus on AI applications in the legal field and Microsoft 365 legal and compliance issues. Sarah has been nominated for the 2024 Relativity Artificial Intelligence Innovation Award and was a finalist for the 2020 Relativity Stellar Women Innovation Award. With over 20 years of experience in the legal technology sector, she has developed, brought to market, and managed some of the industry’s most cutting-edge technology offerings in her product management positions at iConect, Dataflight, LexisNexis, and Zapproved. Currently, Sarah is spearheading the development and go-to-market of BlueStar's Next-Gen AI, a suite of solutions that utilize state-of-the-art AI to address complex and costly litigation challenges previously deemed unsolvable or prohibitively expensive, and Siemly, an innovative Microsoft 365-based legal investigation platform. Sarah holds a BS in computer science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Stephanie serves as the Practice Innovation Attorney for her firm’s labor & employment practice, leading strategic innovation and knowledge management initiatives. She brings extensive experience in class action defense, litigation, and employment counseling, applying her expertise to integrate traditional legal practices with innovative solutions. Her litigation work is particularly focused on class, collective, and multiparty actions, with a successful track record in defending complex cases across multiple states on a variety of federal and state law claims. Prior to private practice, she was Counsel to the New York State Deputy Commissioner of Higher Education, advising on educational policy, legislative drafting, and law interpretation. Stephanie is also a recognized thought leader in legal technology, contributing through discussions, publications, and content creation, with a commitment to driving transformative change in the legal field.
Lisa Mayo Haynes is a lifelong, adaptive learner with 20+ years of law firm management experience in a variety of roles, but most often involving the intersection of financial data, third-party data sources, and technology. She currently serves as the firm’s lead data professional where she is focused on the full spectrum of data management including data analytics and business intelligence using design thinking methodologies, and data governance. Her specialties include enterprise data warehousing, enabling data literacy across the firm, and using artificial intelligence and machine learning for predictive and prescriptive analytics that quickly provide insights which can be leveraged in making strategic decisions.
Sara focuses on knowledge management, technology implementation, data, and process improvement for the firm. Prior to joining the firm’s knowledge management and leadership team, Ms. Miro was an associate in the firm’s litigation group. Ms. Miro draws on her years of practice experience to guide case teams on matter strategy, while also creating innovative ways to enhance attorney workflows through the use of smart technology. Ms. Miro is one of the co-chairs of the NYC Knowledge Management and Innovation Attorney Network Group. She is also an active volunteer for the International Legal Technology Association and serves as co-chair for PLI’s Knowledge Management and Innovation Summit.
